Landscape Photography with a Mavic Pro

I’m on holiday. I have the tiny drone. I can’t sit on a beach, it’s just not me so I made this video about taking still photographs with the DJI Mavic Pro and I had a blast. Also, stick around for the first “Photo of the Week”.

If you’re thinking about buying one of these drones and this video has helped sway your decision, why not help me out and buy one via this link.
It’s the same, except I get a backhander: http://click.dji.com/AD6tYE1Gi33jCz0OANw?pm=link

That was a great video. I need your advise. I am confused between Mavic Pro or Spark. Mainly for personal & fun use only. Budget not a problem. M not a YouTuber or Vlogger. Pls advise.

I really love your take on drone photog. I would love to see you compare this experience to an experience with the new DJI Spark if you could get your hands on one!

This is really great stuff, Thomas.  Thanks for posting.  Your videos give me a good sense of what the actually flying experience of the Mavic is like (speed of et up, ease of flight, controls, etc.), compared to my now aging Phantom 2.  But why on earth would you want to shoot a landscape in portrait mode?  I avoid shooting anything portrait-style like the plague when shooting anything but an … um … portrait.  I'm sure you have a reason but it's not clear.

Thanks for the video using the drone. I have been thinking about it for awhile and this video has convinced me. Now to convince the wife I need it. 🙂

Interesting take on Drone photography. Do you think that you'll use it just to scout for locations for more conventional photography?
