I planted strawberries ONCE. It took me three years to get rid of them. I had no idea how invasive they were. There are so many runners, how on earth do you cut them all. I may try again with a raised bed.

But the runners for long term will grow more in the next season right? I live in Florida, I'm pretty sure I am growing all year long basically. I have seeds growing right now.

Hello. I bought 4 plant of strawberry, the problem is when the fruit came out, they actually small like the point of my finger. Is that normal because the plant is young? Do my strawberry plant fruit become bigger in the next year? I live in Spain and its called 4 season (translated) means its produce fruit many times a year… pls help.

with strawberries, if youre using a high nitrogen based nutrient or potting mix it will shoot out runners. If you want them to stop the runners then ease right back on the nitrogen..
